The municipality of Sant Llorenҫ des Cardassar is located in the east of Mallorca. It is only about 10 kilometers away from Manacor and part of the Llevant region. In addition to the village of Sant Llorenҫ des Cardassar, the surrounding villages of Sa Coma, Son Carrió, S’Illot and part of Cala Millor also form part of the municipality.
A place with history and culture
As a typical Mallorcan village, Sant Llorenҫ des Cardassar has some magnificent buildings to admire, which are characterised by their elaborate and unique architectural style. In the center of the village is the baroque church of Sant Llorenҫ. This originates from the 14th century and impresses with its pretty and elaborately designed façade. You can also marvel at the many archaeological remains in the surrounding area.

There are stone pines and pine trees, but also olive, almond, orange and carob trees, as well as broom and lavender bushes. Many characteristic bird species live here and you will encounter them on your forays through nature. Hiking enthusiasts, but also bicycle lovers should not miss the “Vía Verde”. This is a combined cycle and hiking path and is closed for all road traffic. It runs on paved ground along a former railway line that is no longer active and connects the towns of Manacor – Sant Llorenҫ des Cardassar – Son Carrió – Son Servera – Artà.
Inland tranquillity with closeness to the coast
As Sant Llorenҫ des Cardassar is not situated on the coast, it does not have its own beach. However, the beaches in the surrounding coastal resorts, such as Porto Cristo, Cala Millor, Cala Bona, S`Illot and Costa del Pins within a radius of about 15 km, invite you to swim and relax.
