In autumn, in most of the municipalities on Mallorca different taxes and fees are due to be paid. These include, for example, property tax, garbage fees or motor vehicle tax. The payment terms are different in each municipality.
In the digital age, payment notices are no longer sent by post. Payments can be made conveniently and easily online (https://sede.atib.es/cva/ – “cartero virtual”). Another option is to set up a standing order with the bank on time. You can obtain the necessary order form online or at the relevant office of the tax authority (ATIB – Agència Tributària de les Illes Balears) of your municipality. This will ensure that you pay within the deadlines and avoid unnecessary charges.
